The Neumark EnsembleSM (pronounced noi´märk) is a chamber music society whose mission is to bring live chamber music to the broadest possible
audience in Southern California. In its selection of venues, programs,
collateral materials and supporting activities, The Neumark Ensemble personalizes the relationship with its audience.
Led by Music Director Stephen Tucker, The Neumark Ensemble has brought
chamber orchestra concerts to Inland Empire audiences since 1993.
In addition to orchestral concerts, the ensemble presents Classical
Preserves—a classical jam session in which the audience is invited
to play along—and the Neumark Ensemble Chorale, the group's choral
arm.
The organization's Neumark Outreach Training and Enrichment SystemSM
(N.O.T.E.S.SM) brings chamber music to elementary school children. The
three-year N.O.T.E.S. curriculum exposes students to the orchestra's
sections, a wide variety of instruments and in-class instruction in
music making.
The Neumark Ensemble also offers for hire at private functions small
ensembles of the professional musicians in the organization. Performers
are selected based on the requirements of the event.
The Neumark Ensemble benefits the community through cultural
enrichment and involvement. It depends on private donations
from members of the community for its survival. All donations less
benefits received are tax deductible to the fullest extent possible
under IRS code section 501(c)(3).
